This article outlines the main features of Ebsta's two Email Sync features; Inbox Native Sync and Team Email Sync and the differences between them.
Inbox Native Sync
With Ebsta's Native Sync set up, all your emails (sent and received) are automatically logged in Salesforce as Tasks and related to the appropriate Salesforce record(s).
Instructions on how to set up Inbox Native Sync are found in the following article:
Team Email Sync
With Ebsta's Team Email Sync set up, all your emails (sent and received) are synced to the Ebsta cloud. They are then visible in the Ebsta Activity view in the corresponding Salesforce record.
Instructions on how to install and connect Ebsta Team (a managed package) to Salesforce are found in the following article:
A key difference to note is that for Inbox Native Sync the record must already exist at the time of the email being synced for it to be added as a Task in Salesforce. You cannot add historic emails to a newly created record.
With Team Email Sync however the email history can be retrieved for a newly created record.
If you have both Team Email Sync and Inbox Native Sync set up this could lead to the possibility of not having identical results for emails on a matching record.
