Requirements: Roll out of Ebsta to users must be done by a Salesforce Administrator.
Rollout can be managed as required deploying to certain individuals, teams or across the whole organisation. Ebsta is delivered to end users via a Visualforce page that is deployed to Page Layouts. Salesforce Administrators can assign unique Account, Contact, Lead and Opportunity Page Layouts with Ebsta's visualforce page added, to specific Profiles.
They can also create an exclusive Salesforce Profile for users who will have access to Ebsta. Follow the steps below to:
Add Ebsta to Page Layouts of specific Salesforce Profiles
1. Click the Gear icon and click Setup.
2. Click Object Manager
3. Click on your chosen Object e.g. Account
4. Click Page Layouts.
5. Select the correct Page Layout from the list e.g. Account (Admin) Layout.*
* We recommend that Ebsta is only added to Page Layouts that are accessible to Administrators until configuration is fully complete.
6. Scroll down the menu and click Visualforce Pages.
7. Select Section and drag it down into the Page Layout. When it has turned green, you will be able to drop it into the layout.
8. Add the following properties and click OK.
9. Now select Ebsta and drag it into the newly created Ebsta Section. When it has turned green, you will be able to drop it into the layout.
10. Click the Spanner in the Ebsta section.
11. Add the following properties and click OK.
12. Click Save As and choose a Page Layout Name to help identify that it includes Ebsta (e.g. Account (Admin) Ebsta Layout). Click Save.
13. Return to your list of Page Layouts. You will see the newly created layout in the list. Click Page Layout Assignment.
14. Click Edit Assignment.
15. Select the new Page Layout from the dropdown menu and then select the Profile(s) you wish to assign the new Page Layout to and then click Save.
16. Repeat the above process for each of your other desired Objects.
Create a new Ebsta Salesforce Profile
You only need to create a new Salesforce Profile if you wish to add Ebsta to a specific group of users.
1. Click the Gear icon and click Setup.
2. Type profiles into the Quick Find box and select Profiles.
3. Click on a Salesforce Profile that you wish to use a template and then click Clone.
4. Name the new Profile (e.g. Example User - Ebsta) and click Save.
5. Type users into the Quick Find box and select Users.
6. Click Edit next to the specific User(s).
7. Open up the menu next to Profile and select the newly created Profile from the list.
8. Click Save.
