Ebsta's Calendar Sync ensures that whenever events are added or edited in Salesforce or Google, the changes are reflected across both platforms. The intelligent sync fully supports time zones, recurring events, private events, and multiple calendars syncing.
By default, the sync includes private events. If you do not wish them to be included simply check the tick box next to Private Events as per the example below.
To adjust your calendar sync settings, follow the instructions in this article:
If you decide to include Private Events in the sync process, Ebsta automatically marks them as Private when syncing them from Salesforce to Google. The same applies when the sync is running the opposite way; Events marked Private in Google will automatically be marked as Private in Salesforce.
Note: For the above process to work, you need to ensure the Private field is included in your Event Page Layout in Salesforce.
Follow the steps below to add the Private field to your Event Page Layout in Salesforce.
Adding the Private field to your Event Page Layout in Salesforce
1. Click Setup
2. Click Build > Customize > Activities > Event Page Layouts
3. Click Edit
4. Click and drag the Private field into the Event Detail area.
5. When it has turned green you will be able to drop it into the Event Page Layout.
6. Click Save.
