Requirements: Email Tracking needs to be enabled so that Ebsta can provide you with full reporting: Enable Email Tracking in Gmail
1. Click on the Email Tracking button* in Ebsta's blue notification bar.
* The button may be coloured yellow. This denotes that you have tracking information relating to the person you are currently viewing in the bar. More about this later in the article.
2. The Email Tracking Report will drop down from the bar.
There are two areas of the email tracking report; the Activity Feed and All Tracked Emails.
Activity Feed
This is a chronological list of all activity against tracked emails. Ebsta displays what activity has occurred (either an open or click), the recipient's email address, the subject line of the email, sent date and date and time of the activity.
Email open | |
Email link click |
If you click View more (underlined in green in the last column), Ebsta displays a chronological view of all activity against the specific email and displays on what device that activity occurred.
All Tracked Emails
All tracked emails is a chronological list of all emails that have been sent with tracking. Ebsta displays the recipient's email address, the subject line of the email, sent date and if there has been activity against this email, Ebsta also displays the date and time of the last activity.
Email sent | |
Email open | |
Email link click |
You can filter the list by Opened/Unopened emails.
Again like the activity feed, if you click View more (underlined in green in the last column), Ebsta displays a chronological view of all activity against the specific email and displays on what device that activity occurred.
If you are interested in looking at the email activity related to a specific contact, type their email address into the search bar and Ebsta will display all activity relating to emails sent to this person (including those that they have been cc or bc'd in.)
Clicking on All Tracked Emails will display a list of all emails sent with tracking to this person.
Email Tracking relating to specific Contacts & Leads
As you are reading your emails, you'll notice Ebsta's Notification bar updates to display a snapshot of the key information held in Salesforce relating to the person whose email you are viewing.
As mentioned earlier, if you have tracking information relating to this person, the Email Tracking button will display yellow in the Ebsta bar.
If you press this button, the Email Tracking Report that drops down from the bar will be related to that specific Contact (or Lead).
If you click the x button in the search bar, Ebsta will change the display to show you all tracking information relating to all Contacts (and Leads) of this Account.
To access in-depth tracking insights, click the Tracking Analysis button in the top right-hand corner of the tracking report.
